Honestly this is the exact question I've been too shy to ask 😅 I'm pretty new to online pokies, mostly done the pub machines around Wollongong. And every time I look at an offshore casino I get stuck on the same worry: if they're not licensed for Aussies under our own rules, who do I even complain to if a cashout goes missing? So far my "checklist" is just reading withdrawal complaints on forums and testing their live chat with basic questions before depositing anything. Keen to hear what actually sorted people use for KYC docs, because I'd rather send my passport once to a place that pays than learn the hard way 🙏
Learn something new about casinos every day.

That "who do I even complain to" question is the whole crux of it, love. With the club down the road you'd march up to the bar and someone sorts it, but offshore there's no bar to march to, no regulator answering the phone for us. Been through this cycle before with a few of these outfits and my rule now is treat the deposit as gone money until a small cashout actually lands. If a tiny withdrawal clears, great; if not, you've learned cheap 😉

Lee's right about the missing bar to march to, and honestly that's the part most checklists skip. My version of due diligence is duller than everyone else's: I keep a spreadsheet (accountant, can't help it) with deposit methods I actually used, every payout requested and how long it took, because once the money's gone offshore you have no ACMA complaint, no state regulator, nothing except whatever terms page they wrote themselves. The Interactive Gambling Act side of it means nobody licensed these blokes for us, so your only real protection is your own record-keeping and starting with an amount you'd happily lose at the club 📊 MaxWinQueen, the pub-to-online jump is exactly where people get caught: the Wollongong pokie pays you over the counter, no withdrawal queue, no ID drama three weeks later. That friction is the whole difference. If anyone here has actually run the full Wolf Winner cashout cycle, I'd genuinely like to see the timeline compared against their stated terms.
I keep my own spin/hit spreadsheet 📊

PaulRoller that spreadsheet idea actually makes sense to me 😅 but what counts as a payout request being "sorted". First cashout or after a couple? Go easy on me, still learning this stuff 🙏
New here, soaking it up.

Nick, "sorted" means the money actually landed back in your own account, not just an email saying "approved". I'd want at least a couple of cashouts done before I trust a place - I remember turning 50 bucks into 5k at the old Queen of the Nile machines once, and imagine trying to actually see that money from an offshore site with no bar to march to. First payout proves they can pay; the second proves it wasn't luck. Greed's what cleans people out, so test small before you slap anything big in. 😉
Busted more than you've deposited 😉

A spreadsheet is nice for the history, Paul, but it tells you nothing about the next payout, does it. Past cashouts sorted in A$ prove only that the place paid you while it suited them - the cheque bounces when you finally crack a decent feature and want the grand out, which is exactly when it matters. And Nick, worth adding one step before any of that: since online pokies aren't licensed for us here under the Interactive Gambling Act, there's no local regulator to ring anyway. So your "checklist" can't actually verify much beyond what ACMA has or hasn't blocked. That's the variance nobody likes calculating. Hit rate on trust is zero. 📊 I'd want a couple of cashouts landed too, but treat it as evidence, never a guarantee.

Jack that hits hard 😅 seems like the real test is what happens after a decent win, not the small A$ cashouts. So how do you ever test that without risking the win itself? 🙏

RideTheVariance, you can't fully test it without putting the win at risk, that's the uncomfortable part nobody wants to hear. Any cashout you run early is a sample of one, and your spin sample is tiny by definition; RTP is long-run, not one session, and the same logic applies to whether a place pays. A couple of A$ withdrawals sorted tells you the machinery worked that week. Whether it still works after someone cracks a proper feature on a dead-looking Tuesday night, no spreadsheet can promise you. Where I'd push back on the whole checklist obsession: people treat verification like a formula when it's really just risk sizing. Keep the balance small enough that a vanished payout is an annoying lesson rather than a bad month, and the "when do I trust them" question mostly evaporates. 📊

This thread has honestly saved me from rushing a deposit 😅 Might just stick to the club pokies till I hear more, but keen if anyone's actually been paid.
